10 Tips on how to WIN the Nat Geo City Chase

You must first find a partner as the Chase is only for teams of two. If you can’t find one, don’t worry, we will match you up. We will try to make sure he or she is cute too.
Know your city! Singapore may be small but there are a host of undiscovered nooks and crannies that you may not have explored.
You need to travel around using only “BMW” aka “BUSES, MRT and Walking”. Taxis, bicycles and trishaws are not counted, so be careful, don’t Chase yourselves out of the game by getting disqualified!
Eat lots of gingko nuts and drink lots of chicken essence. You will use your brain often to decipher the clues that will lead you to the different ChasePoints.
Wear sensible shoes! There is going to be a lot of walking, running and maybe climbing. Heels and flip flops are really not the best choice unless pain is your middle name.
Energy! Feed yourself well before you start and bring along some delicious snacks so that you won’t starve. We do have food along the way, but if last year’s ChasePoints* are anything to go by, it’s better not to depend on us. (*We had a tank full of worms at one. The rest is up to your imagination.)
Water Water Water. Very important especially if you have been living in this city for a while. Drink lots of water before and during the Chase.
Communicate with your partner, your friends, even total strangers for help, with anything you can put your hands on. You are allowed to use communication devices such as mobile phones, computers, telegraphs and pigeons.
Get your hands on any maps you can find. You will definitely find them useful.
Keep an open mind and bring your sense of humor. Chasers had to wear a sarong, frolic with worms and go mountain biking last year. Anything can happen this year.
